Established in 1913, the Biglerville Hose & Truck Co. No. 1 is located in Biglerville Borough, and proudly serves the Upper Adams community. Biglerville is the home of the National Apple Museum. We respond to over 200 Fire and Rescue calls per year and more than 1000 Ambulance calls per year. We are a mostly rural department. Our Rescue covers one of the largest first due areas in the county. The Biglerville Fire Company is very active with the ACVESA organization. We are the host of an annual Winter Party in February that has food & drinks, dancing, and a auction. The Biglerville Fire Company will also be entering a team in this years annual fire department softball tournament on July 28. Both the Winter Party hosted by the Biglerville Fire Company, and the fire department softball tournament hosted by ACVESA are fundraisers for the Adams County Emergency Services Training Center.
Led by Chief Dominic Englbert, the Biglerville Fire Company currently operates 2 Engines, 1 Heavy Rescue, 1 Tanker, 1 Service Truck and 3 BLS Ambulances (one of which is housed and operated by our neighboring department Bendersville). Our service truck pulls one of the two county HAZ-MAT trailers that is housed at our department. The Biglerville Fire Company is located at 111 South Main Street in Biglerville, PA More information can be found at: http://www.biglervillefire.freeservers.com/index.html
