The Cashtown Community Fire Department is a 100% volunteer fire department that serves an approximate 33 square mile area in western Adams County. The Cashtown Community Fire Department protects approximately 1450 residences in its first due area consisting of portions of Franklin, Highland, and Hamiltonban Townships with fire, rescue, extrication, haz-mat, and medical services. The Cashtown Community Fire Department operates 2 engines, 1 squad, and 1 brush truck.
The department plans to do a feasibility study on new apparatus purchases. We plan to purchase apparatus to replace Engine 4-3 and possibly to replace Squad 4. After 19 years as the Chief of Cashtown Community Fire Department, Tom Norman decided to step down. Billie Sanders is serving as chief for 2007. The Cashtown Communty Fire Department is located at 1069 Old Route 30, Cashtown, PA.
