The Kingsdale Fire Company located approximately 3 miles southwest of Littlestown, and was established in November of 1948. The Kingsdale Fire Company protects the Germany, Mount Pleasant Townships, and the surrounding areas. We respond to approximately 110 combined Fire, Rescue, and Medical calls per year. In 2005, and 2006 the department was attempting to start an ambulance service, but opposition from the township, and township residents kept that from happening when it proposed at a Germany Township meeting. The Littlestown Fire Company currently provides ambulance service in both Germany and Mount Pleasant Townships. In January of 2006 the department started to provide a quick response crew to provide assistance on medical calls. A committee is currently seeking information on adding an addition to the current building, and/or building a new firehouse in the future,
Led by Chief Chris Topper, The Kingsdale Fire Company currently operates a 1992 International E-one 1250 gallon engine-tanker, a 2006 Freightliner Darley 3500 gallon tanker, a 1996 Ford F-350 Swab Special Unit, and an Orion Utility Rescue Sled. The Kingsdale Fire Company is located at 1789 Frederick Pike in Littlestown, PA. More information can be found at: http://www.kingsdale21.com/
