Lake Meade - Company 26

 

The Lake Meade  Fire Company is located in northeast Adams county in the community of Lake Meade. Lake Meade is located just outside the town of East Berlin, and is a gated community that surrounds Lake Meade which has approximately 6 miles of shoreline. Lake Meade Fire and Rescue was established in 1975. The Lake Meade Fire Company protects the residents of Lake Meade, Reading, Latimore Townships, and surrounding areas. Lake Meade Fire and Rescue responds to approximately 50 Fire, and Rescue calls, and 150 Medical calls per year. Over the last couple months the Lake Meade Fire Company made some apparatus upgrades. The unit known as Special Unit 26 was sold, and replaced by the departments first rescue vehicle known as Rescue 26. Also is 2007 the company placed into service a new Achilles SG inflatable boat.

 

Led by Chief Donald Avery, The Lake Meade Fire Company  currently operates a 1986 International Tanker, a 2001 E-One Engine, a 2002 Braun Ford F-450 Ambulance, a 2007 KME Rescue and a 2007 Achilles SG 140 inflatable boat.

The Lake Meade Fire Company is located at 492 Lake Meade Drive in East Berlin,  PA.
