| Title: | Rapid Intervention Team Operations |
| Location: | Adams County Emergency Services Training Facility |
| Description: | This program is designed to give personnel the essential knowledge, skills and abilities to function on the fire ground as a member of a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT). Topics covered include: Staffing the RIT, searching for missing firefighters, accessing a downed firefighter, and rescue/removal procedures. Concepts are presented using focused practical/skill sessions and integrated exercises. |

| Prerequisites: | Interior Firefighter (ELIF), Essentials of Firefighting, HACC Fire Operations Module D or Firefighter 1 and Rapid Intervention Teams Awareness. Students must be 18 years of age by the start of class. |
| Minimum Age Requirement: | 18 on or before the first day of class |
| Student Needs: | Pen/pencil, notebook, Structural Firefighters Protective Clothing, SCBA with spare cylinder, 25’ webbing and 10’ personal rope. |
| Student Dress: | All clothing shall be neat, clean, in good repair, presentable, and represent the department that the individual is representing. Participants are to report in clothing suitable for hands-on training. |
