Firehouse Software Instructions for Exporting Data To Adams County

  1. "File" menu
  2. "NFIRS 5 Incident Reporting"
  3. "Export NFIRS 5 Transaction File"
  4. Check the box next to "Export Completed Incident Transactions and Department Information"
  5. Click on "next"
  6. FDID should be "010XX",       XX = Company number.  Gettysburg = 01, Fairfield = 02, etc
    1. Put in date range in the two boxes
    2. If you have tried an export and it failed and you are running it again, make sure the "export all records in this range as new transactions even if previously exported" is checked 
    3. Check the following boxes also:
      1. “Include any records flagged for resubmission or deletion”
      2. “Export narrative fields”
      3.  Click "next"
  1. On the "Output Files" screen make a note of the location and file names that the program is going to save or rename the files to save them to another place on your computer.  The default location is "c:\program files\firehouse software\nfirs"  followed by the names on the "output Files" screen.
  2.  Click "next"
  3.  "Completion Screen"
    1.  here you have 2 choices, you can either check "no, just leave the file on the hard drive" or "copy files to removable disk in drive"   the second option will allow you to save it to a floppy disk which will make it easier to find the files to attach to an email later
  4.  Click "next"
  5.  Click "finish"
  6.  After the files are saved, then send them as an email attachment to mbowers@adamscounty.us
